SAUDI ARABIA
In early April 2017 we travelled to Riyadh/Saudi Arabia to take part in Misk Art Festival. During this festival we contributed to the group exhibition, conducted a tape art workshop and created a mural live. A special work is our installation “Can". The tape artwork showing a fingerprint is inspired by our Kurdish friend Can Demir. He gave us his fingerprint which we turned into a piece of art. It is meant to be a reminder that the refugees you hear so often about in the media are not an anonymous group but individual beings with their own stories and feelings. Big thanks to the Misk Art Foundation for organising this incredible project. We would also like to thank Zepha, a calligraphic artist from France who inspired us with his art and his personality. We hope to have inspired others as well.
